The role:

The PIN team is the central telemetry organization that builds and supports the telemetry system for EA. The Associate Quality Designer will work closely with the different game and telemetry teams to review, analyze, identify telemetry data quality. The AQD will also provide technical insights and expertise to other junior analysts and teams to ensure automation coverage and quality of test cases.

Responsibilities:

  • AnalyticsUnderstand data requirement specified in data library and coming up with data quality rule and test casesUnderstand data requirement specified in data library and coming up with data quality rule and test cases
  • Execute efficient SQL to improve data query against relational databases hosted in different data warehouse
  • Use self-serve tool to build SQL query result into dashboard and data monitor to uncover potential data quality issues
  • Analyze and identify potential source of the data quality issue and work with corresponding team members to have the issue resolved
  • Identify Data patterns and corelate available information towards a successful result
  • Organization/ManagementLead group of junior quality analysts in test cases design (both manual and test automation) by applying best practices
  • Scale test resources by identifying common test cases while augmenting game specific data quality verification through use of customizable data quality test tool
  • Manage test process and coverage across different projects
  • Assess and understand the downstream impact of data quality issue in assigning priority and owner of the issue
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with different team members/partners to communicate project information
  • Create and provide reports on a strict basis with clear and concise information based on requirements
  • Organize and hold meetings across different teams based on requirements
  • Quality VerificationPropose new feature or enhancement to quality verification tool
  • Perform data quality analysis based on:data context
  • data sequence
  • data completeness
  • data uniqueness (unexpected data duplication)
  • data validity
  • Implement and run Automation test cases with TestRail/Python
  • Review partner requirements and apply data quality rules
  • Perform quality verification on data by running complex SQL query tools
  • ToolsPython, TestRail, SQL, Jira/Jaas, Confluence, Slack, Monday, Miro, Trello, PowerBI, Hive, Presto, Snowflake, unified database visualization tool like SQL Workbench

Qualifications:

  • SQL advanced knowledge (2 years+)
  • Python knowledge (1 years+)
  • Experience with backend systems and services
  • Experience with software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes
  • Experience with root cause analysis
  • Strong ability to self-manage and prioritize work effectively within deadlines
