Position Title: Community Engagement Specialist

External Description:

The Community Activation Team connects the voices of EA’s 300+ million players to our global game and strategy teams, facilitating healthy conversation working together to build thriving communities. The Associate, Madden NFL Social will lead the direct-to-player communications strategy for EA’s Madden NFL Ultimate Team Business, building connections with the community through two-way communication and a multi-channel strategy that informs players and sparks mass interest in the consistent updates coming to the Madden NFL Franchise. 

As part of this role, the Associate, Madden NFL Social will develop communications materials for internal and external franchise channels with oversight of the Community Team leaders, partner with creative and core teams to manage game assets, and develop messaging aligned with the Madden NFL live services brand voice. 

Passion is the fuel that drives our teams, and the successful candidate will match Madden NFL franchise expertise, an ability to work well within a team and strong internal relationships - to strengthen overall player engagement and interest in Madden NFL Live Service programs and initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  •     Drive daily creation and publishing for Madden NFL Live service, along with the direct-to-player multi-channel communications strategy. 
  •     Grow the community and maintain a tight two-way dialogue between influencers, studio, and stakeholders. 
  •     Lead studio communication platforms for the development team delivering consistent communication with core players.
  •     Create appointment-setting branded content series that establishes a consistent and transparent source of information to the live service community on a weekly basis.
  •     Assist with communications around game and live service issues: Bugs, Cheats, Outages, Support Issues and General Feedback. 
  •     Plan and help schedule community activities and influencer events, both in-game and out of game.
  •     Regularly deliver social reporting to update key stakeholder on performance metrics and sentiment across channels and campaigns. 
  •     Ensure all Electronic Arts standards, policies, and processes are observed and followed. 
  •     Coordinate and share with other EA Community Managers on engagement best practices, standards, and innovations. 
  •     Work closely with Customer Support and Live Service teams on overall player experience. 
  •     Maintain a positive community reputation.

Qualifications + Requirements

  •     Passion for video games and experience playing Madden NFL and other sports games, especially in live service modes.
  •     Deep understanding of real-world sport, players, teams, leagues, etc. 
  •     Five years’ experience working in online community, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
  •     1+ years of team management experience in global, cross-functional environments.
  •     Proficient in writing, grammar, and content-creation abilities. Critical skills and tools include Adobe Photoshop.
  •     Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  •     Imaginative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively, to wide audiences.
  •     Conscientious and highly motivated team player.
  •     Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  •     Motivated to learn new things about players and driven to improve their experience.
  •     Ability to objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make actionable recommendations.
