Are you a soon-to-be Graphic Design / Art graduate with a flair for marketing and strong creative chops? Are your skills with a drawing tablet only surpassed by your skills at editing video?

Darewise Entertainment is looking for an ambitious and passionate Marketing Artist Intern to join the team and help us continue to build Life Beyond’s brand identity, from a visual and narrative perspective, by creating high quality visual assets that tell our story and helping us tell that story to the world.

You will need to assimilate the art style of our game to be able to create various types of marketing assets, including: web marketing material, social media assets, videos, infographics, logos. You must be able to transform existing art assets into polished, quality items usable in various formats.

Please note that all positions are full-time on-site in Paris (due to the current situation, the internship might start remotely).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Community Director to help define the brand visual identity, with input from the creative leads
  • Work on updating the brand’s style guide and ensure it is applied in all asset creation
  • Create quality assets for marketing campaigns, web graphics, social media
  • Create video assets based off of recorded playtest sessions
  • Ensure all assets published meet established quality standards
  • Work with our art team to ensure the production of high-quality assets
  • Create engaging designs for key assets
  • You anticipate future marketing team needs and are always looking to try new stuff, from the images that will be featured front and center on the game’s website to the tutorial videos, and not forgetting the tiny indispensables like Discord emotes

Preferred experience

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree program in art media, graphic design, marketing or studying towards an equivalent degree.
  • You have the possibility to provide us with a promising art portfolio.
  • You have a passion for video games
  • You have at least 3 years of experience using Photoshop (or any equivalent 2D software).
  • You have 2 years of video editing experience.
  • You have some professional experience in Marketing Art or significant experience in hobby projects.
  • You are at ease working autonomously and making solid decisions with regards to marketing asset creation and document processes.
  • You have a great understanding and use of composition and color theory, and have knowledge of graphic/visual/stylistic trends in art, film and games.
  • You are versatile and prepared to tackle many different kinds of tasks, ranging from creative challenges to mass production.
  • You have a positive attitude with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • You have strong communication skills in English and you are comfortable working with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds as well as remote teams.
  • You have an interest in game development, high self-motivation and a drive to creatively solve problems.

Also nice to have:

  • Knowledge and experience using any 3D art creation software
  • Personal interest in MMO games and virtual worlds

Recruitment process

Candidates for the internship will go through a CV screening, HR interview, technical interview, and an art test.
