AVAILABLE POSITIONS Animator

Zynga is seeking a skilled ANIMATOR to join a dynamic team for one of Zynga’s most established games. We are looking for driven individuals who want to contribute to the growth and development of our product in a highly-collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work with talented contributors from different disciplines and bring a unique perspective to the table. Applicants must have a strong understanding of animation principles and be able to use a range of techniques to drive high quality visuals with a limited toolset.

Responsibilities:

• Produce high quality animations using animation principles for characters, environments, UI and VFX
• The Animator will be working with a team of technical artists, designers, artists and engineers to develop amazing animations and special effects in Unity/other game engines.
• The Animator’s primary duties are creating 2D and 2.5D animations in Maya, Spine and Game engines (Unity/Spritex), also animating particle systems. Exporting Animations from any animation software’s integrating them in to game engines, creating prefabs for Animations in Unity/other game engines and rigging Characters/props.
• Assist in the preparation of assets for animation using Photoshop.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of how animation supports gameplay and narrative with the ability to communicate these links to the team.
• The ideal candidate has well-rounded experience in a mobile game pipeline.

Required Skills:

• Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions.
• Core Photoshop CC skills to create sprites.
• Expert knowledge of Maya and Spine along with 2.5D rigging.
• Clear understanding of cameras, lighting, and shaders in Unity
• Strong problem-solving methodology.

Recommended Skills:

• 4+ experience 2d/3d animations with minimum 2 years in games development.
• A passion for games, social slots, and social networking
• Prior experience with version control software such as Perforce
