The Role:

We are seeking a Development Director to become an essential part of our Live Ops team. In this dynamic role, you'll tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment, fostering collaboration and communication across the business unit. Your key responsibilities will include building strong relationships, strategic thinking, and robust execution. Join us in making a difference!

Team Building and Management:

  • You will identify resourcing needs and provide challenges and opportunities to ensure that the LiveOps members reach their potential, in partnership with the Live Service Lead.
  • You will nurture relationships both within and beyond the Live Ops team to ensure successful project completion.
  • You will promote a team culture that values openness, trust, and collaboration, supporting the growth and development of the team.
  • You will foster and support an inclusive and diverse team culture.
  • You will facilitate meetings and manage conflicts.

Execution:

  • You will collaborate with the Live Service Lead to establish the strategies and plan for meeting milestones and significant deliverables.
  • You will establish and assign task goals from defined project goals; and manage the team at a project level to achieve deliverables.
  • You will mitigate risk within the assigned scope and take necessary actions to de-risk delivery plans and achieve team objectives.
  • You will monitor capacity and partner with Live Ops production to manage scope & quality and liaise with project teams and external partners regarding requirements.
  • You will manage the escalation process, ensuring that LiveOps team members are promptly notified about critical bug fixes, and providing regular updates to the leadership team.

Project Management:

  • You will manage the Live Ops team’s Agile processes, promoting best practices for task-tracking and adjusting them to suit the Live Ops team.
  • You will build overall project schedules based on individual task estimates for production and communicate progress to our partners across projects.
  • You will maintain and own our Live Ops projects and backlogs.
  • You will determine tasks and resource requirements and assign tasks to team members.
  • You will document and maintain workflows for sharing with other teams.

Role Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or team leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience with project management tasks.
  • Proficiency in using development planning tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in different project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Office and Google suites.
  • Experience managing partner expectations around delivery, scope, and timelines.
  • Comfortable working directly with partners to plan project deliveries.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience managing outsourced teams is a plus.
