Role overview:

This role sits within the PlayStation Services team who are accountable for the planning and delivery of trading plans to drive growth for PlayStation Plus.

The role will operate within the Trading team, a subset of the Subscriptions Growth directorate. The Trading team lead on all in-month performance reporting, providing weekly updates with full month projections and coherent narratives on the factors affecting subscriptions growth. The primary goal is to keep the wider Services team and senior leadership up to date with the latest performance trends, driving dynamic decision making to reach growth and revenue targets.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to sustain multiple touchpoints across the PlayStation Plus business, collaborating closely with commercial colleagues, forecasting, and business insights. You will also lead on developing innovative methodologies to accurately predict short term performance. You will be expected to lead by example, showcasing strong analytical competency, dedication to tackle problems, and adept presentation and communication skills.

Trading experience and a strong commercial competence are required for interpretation of performance and the ability to establish a coherent trading narrative.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting delivery of trading and performance updates for PlayStation Plus
  • Devising innovative solutions for in-month forecasting
  • Working with commercial colleagues to account for upcoming promotions, changes to the service, or changes in the gaming industry within outlook
  • Tracking in month performance and amending monthly outlooks based on current performance
  • Mitigation planning to achieve quarterly objectives.
  • Working with insight analysts to understand and explain deviations from the forecast
  • Developing new ways to communicate performance

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years’ experience working in a subscription-based role, ideally within ecommerce, technology and/or gaming
  • Trading experience gained in B2C company
  • Strong commercial sense and high proficiency in MS Excel. Additional knowledge of SQL would be a big plus
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Passion and/or keen interest in the gaming industry
