SkyBox Labs is looking for a talented UX Designer to join our team to support the dev team at Bungie on Destiny 2 on a fixed-term contract until March 2025. This exciting AAA action MMO is a fan favorite around the world! The UX Design role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine immersive user experiences for Destiny 2's future releases.

This is an opportunity to blend creativity with technical skills, making your mark on Destiny 2. If you're passionate about designing intuitive interfaces and excel in collaborative settings, we'd love to hear from you!

A snapshot of your role:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intuitive and user-focused designs
    • Translate goals and requirements into viable solutions aligned with UX strategy
    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to visualize and test design concepts
    • Provide direction and feedback on UI asset creation
    • Fine-tune designs in-engine for optimal feel and flow
    • Maintain design documentation to ensure consistency and quality
    • Establish and document design strategies, guidelines, and patterns
    • Apply creative problem-solving independently and through collaborative sessions
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design

Sound like you? This is what we're looking for:

    • Relevant work experience in UX/UI design, with a strong grasp of game design principles
    • Online portfolio demonstrating UX design approach
    • A structural approach to problem-solving and systemic thinking
    • Passion for gaming and creating immersive experiences
    • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator
    • Familiarity with game engines like Unreal, Unity, or similar proprietary engines
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Creative problem-solving abilities
    • Understanding of game development tools, workflows, and technical constraints
    • Adaptability to project changes and deadlines
    • Proactive attitude toward learning and improvement

    • The base salary range is $87,000 to $130,000. The stated pay scale reflects the range that SkyBox Labs reasonably expects to pay for this position. Your base salary will be determined by various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, skills, and experience.
