We are seeking a Product Analyst (on-site) to be an integral part of the Product Analytics team that supports our consumer products, including our flagship product, ABCmouse.com® Early Learning Academy, an award-winning comprehensive curriculum for children. Contribution will come in the form of defining data capture requirements, data modeling, verifying data integrity, data manipulation, business monitoring and data visualization. Your work will have a strong impact in influencing Product Management and Senior Executives through actionable business recommendations that ultimately help children learn!

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate closely with members of the ABCmouse Product team to understand the types of data needed for analyses
    • Drive data capture and data integrity requirements. Partner with product and engineering teams so that the right data is captured
    • Contribute to our Snowflake data mart that supports ABCmouse product analytics data needs, including building and maintaining data integrations, performing data transformations, and monitoring data quality and completeness
    • Maintain vigilant eye on data quality
    • Create beautiful and informative automated/real-time dashboards and visualizations to communicate key learning metrics and analytical results
    • Communicate data reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

    • Fluent in complex SQL queries on big data sets. Fluent in Tableau and Excel. Additional data visualization capabilities a plus
    • Fluent in a general-purpose programming language (preference for Python). Able to manipulate and explore data, perform analysis, and create visualizations using R or Python
    • At least 2 years in a data engineering or analytical focused role in a digital environment, experience working on games, especially FTP (free-to-play) games or educational apps a plus
    • Knows dimensional modeling for data warehousing
    • Great at data mining
    • Must be able to understand and analyze data, synthesizing large volumes of data and complex questions into clear analyses and actionable findings
    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (such as analytics, statistics, applied math, data science, economics or computer science) from four-year college or university; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a non-quantitative field AND a Master’s degree in a quantitative field
    • Curious, motivated, self-starter, collaborative, team player
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral)
    • Bilingual English/Business Spanish (verbal/written) in a business setting
    • Can work iteratively, defining requirements as needed
    • Comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
