External Description:

As a Development Manager - Hardware & Inventory, you will manage all hardware resources and inventory operations across the EARO QVS studio. Your primary focus will be to ensure the efficient use of hardware resources, aligning them with current and anticipated project demands. Reporting to the Director of Studio Operations, you will develop forward-looking strategies, manage budgets, and oversee risk management related to hardware resources.

Collaborating with Local IT and technical teams, you will ensure hardware compatibility and adherence to performance standards. You will also engage with different partners, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and updates on hardware initiatives. Your role will also involve promoting best practices and new ideas to achieve our goals in the most efficient and sustainable ways possible.

Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee the procurement and lifecycle management of all hardware resources required for operating EARO QVS.

  • Develop forward-looking strategies for utilizing hardware resources, aligning them with current and anticipated project demands.

  • You will manage daily inventory operations, ensuring resource availability aligns with operational needs.

  • Oversee the maintenance of inventory control systems, such as wfh-assets and the Pandora inventory module, for hardware asset management.

  • Perform audits to ensure the accuracy and accountability of hardware inventory.

  • Formulate and enforce stringent hardware allocation, usage, maintenance, and disposal policies.

  • Analyze patterns in demand and consumption and provide regular reports to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.

  • Manage the budget for hardware resources, ensuring cost-effective recommendations and resource allocation.

  • You will monitor and report on hardware-related expenditures, suggesting cost-saving measures when possible.

  • Evaluate and mitigate risks linked to hardware resources, including obsolescence, damage, shortages, and rapid technological advancements.

  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for hardware and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with hardware management, inventory control, and budgeting.

  • 1+ years of experience with inventory control systems and understanding of hardware asset management.

  • 3+ years of experience with hardware systems, including lifecycle management.
