Job Overview

Wargaming Cyprus looking for a reliable, organized Compliance specialist to work in a dynamic international environment and get exposure to significant business transactions.  As a Compliance specialist, you will work with sanctions checks and management of risk, and overall support for the firm in applying the standards of a risk-based culture. 

What will you do?

  • You will be our wizard in the world of sanctions and trade restrictions. You will be monitoring and checking sanctions and trade restrictions introduced by various states and institutions and assessing developments from the context of the global technology entertainment business and its operations.
  • You will act as counsel to the company’s businesses to prepare and comply with sanctions and trade restrictions. Your assessment and advice will be an essential part of Wargaming’s compliance program and will contribute to the company’s success.
  • You will deal with different checks and screenings (i.e. adverse media, sanctions, political status, conflict of interests, etc.) during our processes of KYC, due diligence, and conflict of interest management. Your input will help us to work with partners diligently and be responsible for whom the company works with.
  • You will work with operational compliance policies and procedures in Wargaming to make sure that operations run wisely and policies and procedures comply to regulations up to date.
  • You will participate in risk assessments and provide your expertise to businesses on different risks.
  • You will deal with and help with the implementation of projects at the hands of the Compliance team and initiatives such as risk-based assessment, corrective action planning & remediation, process improvements, training, data analysis, and reporting.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of experience in KYC/KYB, background checks, and due diligence.
  • Experience in compliance risk management, corporate compliance projects, and managing corporate policies.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Willingness to continuous growth in compliance or legal fields.
  • Experience in direct screening, monitoring, and analyzing OFAC/EU sanctions and embargos will be preferred.
