Software Engineer (Python)

Job Overview

Wargaming is looking to hire a Python Software Engineer for the Platform Payment department. Payment system is a suite of backend components that ensure interaction with a large number of payment aggregators, including Adyen, Checkout, and PayPal. We provide integrations with payments through major gaming platforms such as Steam, Epic Games, and Microsoft. The system distributes analytical data to external systems, and based on analytics payment methods are configured. We are seeking for an active, independent specialist who is ready to develop innovative solutions, and who wants to express himself in exciting projects.

Engineering Manager

What will you do?

• Perform back-end development
• Integrate external services
• Make architectural decisions
• Participate in code reviews
• Collaborate and communicate with internal and external development teams to deliver the best online experience to our players

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of professional work experience
• 2+ years of experience with Python, at least one Python framework (Django, Flask etc.), and some ORM libraries
• Hands-on experience with Asyncio or any framework built on top of it (Aiohttp, FastAPI, etc)
• Experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Good knowledge of HTTP and AMQP protocols
• Strong unit-test and debugging skills

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems
• High aptitude and technology-agnostic approach to engineering
• Knowledge of containerization systems (Docker)

Preference will be given to candidates eligible to legally work in Lithuania.

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 5500 monthly gross.
