Position Title: Sr Experience Designer

The Tools and Technology Team within Fusion is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. We partner with a global group of extraordinary creatives fueled by imagination and a unified experience creating amazing content and experiences.

The challenge ahead:

We are seeking an experienced and experienced UX Designer to join our team to support from the ground up, the strategy, user experience, and interface design on a new project within Infinite Worlds. You will work with teams to ensure that end users have a smooth and seamless experience. You will report to a Development Director.

Day to day, you will...

  • Work on ambiguous, complex problems and drive new research initiatives to help tackle them.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences and incorporate them into design revisions. 
  • Undertake discovery research to influence product strategies and/or vision.
  • Distill user research, competitive analysis and feedback into user-centered design goals.
  • Visualize and prototype intended solutions at several levels of fidelity, including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX design, and apply them to improve the portal's usability and user experience.

You are/you have…

  • At least 5+ years of experience in designing user experiences. 
  • Have worked on building products from the ground up, 0-1 Product design. 
  • Communicate user experience research findings and design concepts to partners, gaining their support and agreement.
  • Validate or debunk your assumptions by putting your work in front of users.
  • Experience contributing at a strategic level to long-term planning and quarterly roadmaps.
  • Experience in setting up platform usage analytics, using tools to track user behaviour, and gathering insights for iterative design improvements.
  • Draw on your mixed-methods research background to identify research opportunities, build and own research roadmap planning, and handle expectations with collaborators.
  • Through your research ensure that we ship meaningful, informed customer experiences that achieve our goals.
  • A portfolio or project showing user-centered designs demonstrating how you used research and data to inform your decisions.. 

Bonus if 

  • You have experience working within a Game Team.
  • You have experience working with Technical Artists
 


BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º  $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
