At Rovio you will get to work with multiple groundbreaking IPs including one of the most famous game IPs in the world: Angry Birds! We craft joy with player-focused gaming experiences that last for decades. In order to do that, we know that people need to bring their own joy to what we do. That’s why we value work-life balance, say no to crunch culture, and welcome people from all walks of life to join the flock. Today, we are a proud team of 500+ caring and talented professionals representing over 50 different nations.

We trust our teams to work autonomously by providing them the right tools and level of responsibility. We believe in our teams to remain creative and to keep learning – as well as ensuring everyone has opportunities for personal growth.

Community Management is the craft that takes care of building, growing, and maintaining a community around our different Rovio games. This includes social media content, platform moderation, and engagement. Community Managers work as part of the game team, as the bridge between the players and the game developers.

We are now looking for a Senior Community Manager to join our Angry Birds Friends team here in Espoo. In this role, you will help us bring players and game teams closer together while delivering joyful experiences in Rovio community spaces.

Our team is working in a hybrid mode, 2 days a week in the Espoo office - our headquarter. And we will support relocation to Finland if you are not already here.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Managing, growing, and nurturing safe and fun community spaces for our players
  • Developing, executing, and reporting back on the game’s social media and community strategy
  • Acting as the Voice of the Player and bringing actionable feedback to the game team to improve the player experience
  • Representing the game in live streams and videos, becoming a familiar face in our community
  • Working with both internal and external partners to create and develop content for the relevant platforms
  • Forging impactful relationships with influencers and moderators, aligning efforts with business goals for mutual success
  • Mentoring and supporting other team members with strategies and insights that can help level up the craft

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Prior work experience in community management and growing gaming communities at different stages of their lifecycle
  • Experience coordinating and managing content (images, videos, and copy) on all relevant platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Discord)
  • High proficiency in English and strong writing skills, including a proven track record of creating long-form blogs and social media copy
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to manage challenging situations that may arise in the community
  • Ability to process large amounts of information rapidly, keeping track of different simultaneous activities in your communities as well as collaborating with different stakeholders in multiple projects or campaigns

Nice to have:

  • Experience being in front of the camera as the representative of the game towards the community
  • Previous experience with script-writing for video content

Interview process:

  • First meeting: You will meet the TA Partner to get acquainted and learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role.
  • Assignment: We’d like to learn more about your hard skills through a relevant task, which takes a few hours.
  • Call with a Hiring manager: We will deep dive into your skills and background and also discuss what motivates you. You will also get a chance to receive feedback and discuss your test task.
  • Final round: You will meet some of the team members and stakeholders from the game team you will be supporting. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
