YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE

Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile is currently seeking a Game Designer to help our team on their next adventure. You will help define game specifications from initial concept to launch as well as continually refine games to maximize user retention and monetization. The ideal candidate will have experience in the social gaming industry and F2P business models on mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with producer, developers and artists to oversee the implementation of new features and systems, both for end users and for streamlining the production process and content creation.
• Drive the design, tuning and balancing of new features and content. Write design briefs and product specification documents.
• Play testing: Analyze data and player feedback to continually optimize existing game experience.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the implementation of systems into actual gameplay maintaining the overall balance between multiple gameplay systems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Producers to identify improvements to existing gameplay loops as well as new feature, content, and event ideas.
• Analyze game metrics and qualitative player feedback to inform design decisions.
• Coordinate with translators to ensure quality translations in multiple languages.
• Integrate translations into the game using internal tools.
• Analyze the content of our current games to improve game design and monetization mechanics.
• Create a fun, engaging and outstanding player experience.

YOUR SKILLS

• At least 3 year as game designer.
• Experience with free-to-play game design concepts and principles in RPG.
• Understanding of engagement and monetization KPIs.
• Ability to analyze gameplay mechanics and feature designs for mobile games.
• Knowledge of game design, balancing, pacing & monetization strategies for F2P games.
• Ability to design level systems & individual gameplay features.
• Understanding of interaction design concepts and principles.
• Excellent written communication skills (English).
• Ability to communicate in Spanish would be a plus.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to understand the game’s vision and apply it to every design.
• Ability to take direction and feedback, and working this into your designs.
• Familiar with psychological models concerning motivation and didactic and therefore able to create extraordinary experiences for the player.
