The Bungie Foundation is looking for a seasoned communications manager that will drive the voice for the Bungie Foundation to its community, supporters, and stakeholders. They will be responsible for helping build, lead, and execute end-to-end innovative communications around the mission, impact, and achievements of the Bungie Foundation across all news mediums, including social media, blogs, newsletters, email, web media, and press releases. This person knows how to tell compelling stories and inspire a diverse audience. A significant focus will be supporting the re-positioning of our brand across social media and the gaming community.         

This role will help drive awareness, connection, and support across the larger gaming community through direct Bungie Foundation communications as well as by fostering relationships with our creators/influencers, providing them with the stories needed to amplify our work, and acting as a liaison, as needed.

The ideal candidate should be a flexible, motivated self-starter who can adapt their communication style to the Bungie Foundation’s brand. They should be highly organized and focused on the Bungie Foundation’s collective objectives, work proactively, and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In close collaboration with the Bungie Foundation team, develop, manage, and execute well-written creative and strategic materials across all communications platforms, including newsletters (internal and external), blogs, articles, email campaigns, websites, one-pagers, social media, content creator copy, and press releases that supports the organization’s mission, impacts, and goals and is highly impactful to the Bungie community.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the broader gaming community, including social media platforms, industry influencers, media, audience insights, and community pressure points, and provide insights to the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a communications calendar across all mediums, identifying storytelling assets that need to be acquired through the Bungie Foundation’s charity partners.
  • Develop and propose a series of KPIs around Bungie Foundation communications to drive growth and engagement; compile and deliver detailed measurement of ROI across communications platforms, aligned to organizational goals.
  • Support the growth and fostering of a community of Bungie Foundation supporters through various channels.
  • Manage all social media channels, including Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Bring a creative mindset to how the Bungie Foundation engages supporters during campaigns, including activations, incentives, challenges, and opportunities for donors and fundraisers, and draft copy in support of the strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal Bungie community and creator teams to support a cohesive company-wide strategy.
  • Role will not perform game-related work, but will collaborate closely with internal franchise development and marketing teams to help craft communications around in-game activations that drive campaign activity.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Relevant experience in gaming or entertainment companies, non-profit organizations, or applicable role.
  • In-depth communications management across multiple channels, including social media, PR, and email.
  • Strategic and organized thinker and modern communicator with excellent time management skills and a proven record of success.
  • Strong team player and able to integrate multiple stakeholder views into effective communications strategy and achievable executions.
  • Proven success with clear results creating custom communication campaigns with a broad range of influential media, creators, and across social media. Understands organizational planning and consumer targeting, segmentation, and trends.
  • Excellent and articulate communicator in presentation, verbal and written copy. Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to quantify results with data analysis and metrics.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality work and is able to proactively complete independent projects with light supervision.
  • Passion for philanthropy and the role gaming communities making the world a better place.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience as a content creator (Twitch, TikTok), or familiarity with live streaming
  • In-depth knowledge of Destiny
  • Technical skills: Discord management, video editing, graphic design, creative writing
  • Comfortable with public engagements and appearances
Listed below is this role's base pay range within the greater Seattle area. In other locations approved for remote work by Bungie and our external resource vendors, this pay range may be adjusted to the local market and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly), 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range
$105,000$140,000 USD
 
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
  • 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
  • 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
  • 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
  • One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked 

Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
