As a group, Virtuos has become a recognized leader in its field, has been growing faster than its peers have in recent years, and is pursuing an aggressive global expansion strategy. To this end, we are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Artist (Procedural Generation) who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.
- Working on tools for procedural content generation in Houdini, Unreal Engine, or clients` proprietary engines;
- Creating the procedural content or procedurally optimizing the existing content;
- Writing documentation for complex procedural systems and tools.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the game development or other CG industry;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist;
- Procedural Content Generation Experience with using and developing tools and plugins in industry-standard software, such as Houdini, Substance Designer, World Machine or Blender;
- Proficient in using Unreal Engine 4 or 5 or any other industry-leading game engines with a deep understanding of its art and rendering pipelines;
- Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and best practices in game development.
Will be a plus:
- Expertise in developing custom tools and scripts to enhance and streamline art workflows;
- Expertise in creating and optimizing shaders, materials, and visual effects for game environments;
- Knowledge of at least one 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Blender, and Substance Package;
- Scripting languages such as Python, Vex, MEL, and Maxscript;
- Experience with VFX software like Embergen or Niagara plugin in UE.
