To this end, we are seeking an experienced QA Director who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.
- Report to Group Head of Quality.
- Assist in the growth and development of the team members. Participating in reviews and evaluations.
- Ensuring the quality of the game deliverables and report status, issues, and mitigation
- Working with producers and other stakeholders to define testing plans and processes for major projects (both for embedded Dev QA and external General QA).
- Improving operational efficiency and effectiveness of the quality. verification strategy by understanding current practices and introducing new strategies.
- Being able to get hands-on if project/team situation requires.
- Proactively contributing to development and deployment of QA tools.
- Ensuring excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork within the development & QA team and across disciplines.
- Keeping abreast of current trends in the marketplace especially regarding best practices, tools and processes.
- At least 4 years of experience in QA manager/lead/director role in the game industry
- Proven track record of shipped (preferable AAA) games on multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile) in lead role.
- Project and people management skills
- Good knowledge of testing methodology as well as required software (JIRA/TTP, Excel, PowerPoint…)
- Good knowledge of QA tools covering different areas of development pipeline, their design & functionality
- Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
- Proficient in English (ability to speak Chinese is big plus).
- Preferably located in Shanghai, China.
- Work well/respond to pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Think critically and apply analytical skills in resolving complex issues.
- Quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
- Strong videogames knowledge.
