Summary of Position

Nexon America is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with expertise in product research. The role will be responsible for conducting research in the realms of AI, Web3, and game-related solutions. The position requires effective communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders, gathering comprehensive requirements, and collaborating with design and development teams to ensure the successful delivery of products. During the initial 6 months, the primary focus of this role will be dedicated to research, constituting approximately 80% of the workload. After, the emphasis on research will transition to 40-50% of the overall workload.

The Senior Project Manager – Product Research will become an integral part of the InLabs US - PM & UX team. Our team is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for Nexon games players. To achieve this objective, we engage with game production, platform, devs, creative, and quality assurance teams, striving to deliver exceptional products. Additionally, we partner with external game studios to share development expertise and gain insights that enhance our game platform. The team also oversees Nexon's prepaid business and payment system, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough product research to identify key features, strengths relative to other products, and opportunities within AI, Web 3.0, and gaming solutions. Validate product ideas and pinpoint opportunities for differentiation. Document research findings, analyses, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Prepare and deliver presentations to effectively communicate research insights to stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the technical and non-technical teams, translating complex AI concepts into understandable insights

  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of companies or products offering similar features to those under consideration for release by Nexon. Evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and compare them with Nexon to gain valuable insights

  • Communicate with various stakeholders and analyze/prioritize requirements/features. Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products that not only meet their needs but also create significant value

  • Overseeing upcoming projects and collaborating with other PMs and engineers to establish release plans. Manages release conflicts and communicates release announcements to relevant stakeholders

  • Establish sprints for each team, allocate tickets to team members through collaboration with the team lead, act as the point of contact (POC) for each team to handle ad-hoc requests, ensuring team members can focus on achieving sprint goals

  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders. Analyze and measure product performance and user feedback to inform product decisions and improvements

  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of proven professional working experience in either software product management, AI or Web3 industries, or related fields
  • Proven track record of conducting product research and launching successful products – please attach examples of past product research as a reference (can be a link or file attachment)
  • Expertise in creating comprehensive functional specifications for software products
  • Experience implementing a feature or product from conception to completion

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree or PhD is preferred
  • Product management or product owner training certification (e.g., PMP) preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of AI and Web3 technologies, trends, and best practices

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $110,000 - $125,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
