Engineering Manager

We are working on amazing games and we need an Engineering Manager for one of our independent game teams. You will be responsible for both driving your team's success and fostering the long-term growth of our talent. Together with leads from other disciplines (art, game design and product management , etc.), you will steer the development of game features through various phases of the feature life cycle, from prototyping to live operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead a team of high performing engineers, ensuring their well-being and fostering individual growth
  • Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to facilitate continuous and meaningful career development for your team members
  • Build and expand your team's potential and capability through hiring
  • Effectively identify, prioritize, and manage high-impact initiatives on the team’s technical roadmap
  • Establish and maintain alignment between your team and the company's vision and values
  • Know technical context around work your team is responsible for and be prepared to dive in deep if necessary
  • Be a key link in your pod/team leadership

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Track record of successfully leading teams and/or working as an Engineering Manager for at least 2 years
  • Experience in career management, covering full employee lifecycle
  • Genuine passion for games and game making, not just software development
  • Great communication, feedback and mentoring skills
  • T-shaped individual, with wide understanding of different game tools, technologies and best practices as well as the confidence to tackle complex projects with different approaches
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
