TEAM OVERVIEW

Quality Verification & Standards (QVS) is a global team leading Quality Verification, Certification, User Research, and Community PlayTesting for all EA products and external Studio partners.

We're searching for a QV Site Leader of Kuala Lumpur QVS team. You will report to the East Asia Head of Quality Verification, and be a Quality leader, Business leader, and discipline owner in Kuala Lumpur within QVS. You will lead the QV team in EA Kuala Lumpur's studio, and you will pioneer verification practices that are both scalable and sustainable in an environment of exponential growth. You will be an active participant and leading in setting the future direction of QV at EA. You and your team will also be integrated partners in this location and worldwide Studios in EA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A people manager and team leader of QV in Kuala Lumpur. Set inspiring and measurable goals, set up QV team working with QV leadership, guide the team toward them.
  • Measure progress and commit to predictable delivery and risk management.
  • Increase productivity and efficiency by process improvement, implementing, and deploying them to projects and teams.
  • Partner with leaders in Dev and QV to build, influence, and strengthen a culture of change and new ideas within your immediate team and partner groups.
  • Work within your leadership group to ensure accuracy in financial, resource and execution plans, and have accountabilities for all financial, resource & headcount planning within your immediate teams.
  • Set an inclusive culture. Be communicative and an agent for constructive change within QV and your immediate team.
  • Partner with multiple teams including People Experience (PE), Talent Acquisition (TA), Finance partners, IT, Workspace in the region to identify opportunities and lead process improvements.
  • Deep engaged with partners in Development, Quality Verification global leadership and community and focus on mutual influences toward shared game/project/team goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid project management and change management: establish project goals including scope, quality, and timeline. create flexible project plan, including requirement definition, task definition, talent assignment, and capacity planning, how to evaluate development/QA risks and mitigate issues.
  • Team and resource management: assess skill-set requirements for projects and invest right talents in right place; recognize latent internal talent to develop into stretch roles then support career development.
  • Experienced with data-informed decision-making and analytical approaches, using business expertise, and excellence in problem-solving.
  • Influence-oriented. Excel at collaborating with other leaders and guiding the collective group to the best action, decision, or result.
  • English communication skills in proficient level
  • Work experience partnering with global partners preferred.
  • Ten years of work experience in a related field (software/game development, QA or related business management expertise), three or more years of experience as a project & people manager
