Job Description

As a Technical Artist Intern you will work closely with the Art and Technical Art teams to support the pipelines and tools needed for art production. You will utilize an understanding of the technical constraints to guide artists in building technically valid art without sacrificing visual quality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist in building, implementing, and supporting efficient art pipelines.
  • Provide daily technical support to artists.
  • Prepare and update documentation for content pipelines, tools, features, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with artist and programmers to grow technical and process knowledge.
  • Support production and technical teams to improve and optimize workflows.
  • Regularly communicate best practices and technical guidelines to the team.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL PROVIDE:

  • An aptitude and drive for innovation, collaboration, decision making and creative problem solving.
  • Strong artistic or programming ability
  • Experience in digital art content creation
  • Proficiency in at least one of 2D/3D art software (Photoshop, Substance Designer, ZBrush, 3DS Max, Maya, Houdini)
  • Knowledge of game engines (Proprietary, Unreal, Unity)
  • Understanding of or familiar with scripting languages (Python, C#, Max Script, Java Script)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
