Job Description

As a Junior Lawyer you will assist and support other members of the Legal Team in providing practical and comprehensive advice to People Can Fly group members (both Polish and those located in other jurisdictions such as US, UK and Canada) on a range of legal and business matters, including general corporate matters, business transactions, capital market transactions, intellectual property, privacy & data processing, employment and securities law compliance.

You will work under the supervision of more senior members of our Legal Team and you will ultimately report to People Can Fly General Counsel.

You should bring open mind, solid basic legal knowledge and a strong work ethic. You should have the ability to cooperate with Team members, to work with various teams across the organization as well as to operate independently. You should like learning and developing, think logically and, occasionally, work well under pressure. Also, you should have good written, oral communication, and organizational skills.

We need a communicative, reliable and responsible person with a great attention to detail, ready to work hard on various legal topics, who understands deadlines. We don’t expect you to know and understand everything right away, but we do expect your willingness to learn and develop your skills fairly quickly.

Resposibilities:

  • Prepare / assist in drafting and reviewing various legal documents (such as contracts, corporate documents, letters/statements in court and administrative proceedings, public disclosures and reports, employment contracts, internal procedures and policies, ongoing correspondence, etc.), in more complex matters under the supervision of more senior Team members.
  • Verify the compliance of legal documentation with internal policies, procedures and templates.
  • Prepare legal analyses for the needs of ongoing projects.
  • Monitor changes in the law applicable to the Group’s activities and organization and prepare summaries thereof.
  • Prepare researches on selected issues related to the game dev industry and its participants.
  • Support other members of the Legal Team in connection with ongoing projects and tasks. Cooperate with members of other teams to identify, analyze and deliver required legal support for the organization. Participate in internal Team meetings as well as meetings with external contractors, as needed.
  • Support Legal Team in the ongoing archiving of legal documentation.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Law master degree (status of the attorney-at law trainee will be an attitude)
  • 3+ yrs of general corporate & business law experience (preferably in the international law firm; in-house experience may be an attitude)
  • Solid knowledge of the Polish Commercial Companies Code
  • Advanced English both verbal and written
