Job Description

People Can Fly is looking for a creative and inspirational Audio Director to lead the audio experience on a AAA Shooter game.  The ideal candidate will directly manage a team of Audio Designers and Audio Programmer to design engaging sound experience.  

Responsibilities

  • Establish, document and communicate the audio vision of the game
  • Identify and plan technical audio needs for the project
  • Define project resource needs and set out the budget allocation for the audio group with your producer
  • Design and implement audio element integration processes by working in close collaboration with programmers and technical directors to ensure proper integration
  • Supervise the work of the audio team from the artistic and technical perspectives by providing individual feedback and/or organizing group audio reviews to ensure that the team’s work meets quality standard and remains in line with the audio vision
  • Mentor team members to foster their artistic and technical development so that they progress in their careers
  • Set out the musical direction and the process to select composers, in collaboration with the creative director
  • Ensure that best work practices are implemented and optimized within the team to guarantee the validity and integrity of the data

 

Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in audio production for AAA video games
  • Delivery of over 2 AAA games as part of a production team;
  • Experience as a lead or director with proven leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise and understanding of the entire audio process, including sound effects, voice over, music, and audio system technology.
  • Knowledge of audio middleware Wwise

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in audio production for AAA video games.
  • Delivery of over 2 AAA games as part of a production team.
  • Experience as a lead or director with proven leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise and understanding of the entire audio process, including sound effects, voice over, music, and audio system technology.
  • Knowledge of audio middleware Wwise
