Position Title: Software Engineer II

The Apex Legends Live Content team is a multi-disciplinary group of developers that deals with the store, seasonal content, events, challenges, retention, engagement, player messaging, and more. You’ll work with product managers, artists, producers, and QA to support and build upon the live game.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our partners to build scalable, user facing features and support those feature through the release process
  • Provide technical contributions to a nimble team focused on store features and workflow improvements
  • Design, implement, document, debug and test C++ code
  • Manage internal and external partnerships through challenging technical integrations
  • Liaison for technical task planning, estimation and road mapping with Product Management
  • Mentor team members in technical best practices and manage their career growth

Required Qualifications

  • Experience writing scalable, testable, performant code and script
  • Hands on C\C++ Experience. Ability to understand and debug on a large codebase
  • Been part of a team that has shipped at least one AAA title

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with web services and scripting languages (Squirrel Script/Lua/PHP)
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with integrating 3rd party live service libraries (Attribution / Analytics / AB Testing / Identity / Etc)
  • Game Platform experience preferred - Origin/Steam/PS4/Xbox/Switch 
  • Experience working with Product/Production to create roadmaps/user stories/work items
  • Passion for making and playing games
  • CS degree preferred or equivalent experience
