Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Artist to join our tech art team. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone who is a well rounded tech artist with experience in rigging, shaders, tools and general troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with character modelers and animators to determine the best rig setup for the animation teams
  • Assist in developing efficiency and quality improvements to the rigging tools and pipeline
  • Help to monitor and ensure the quality of rigs being sent to the animation department
  • Rigging and skinning characters
  • Develop custom shaders in Unreal and Unity game engines
  • Write plugins and tools to improve efficiency in the art pipelines
  • General trouble-shooting to help the other art disciplines

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of rigging in general
  • Experience with rigging non-standard characters with unusual body shapes
  • Experience in complex facial rigging for cinematics is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of Unity and Unreal game engines
  • Expert knowledge of Maya and it's rigging tools
  • Proficiency in developing custom shaders in Unreal and Unity
  • Great attention to detail
  • Self motivated
  • Good problem solving skills
  • And a passion for making games!
