Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced generalist programmer interested in joining a rapidly growing, unannounced project. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment to discuss and test ideas, bringing a game from prototype to final. We are an energetic group with extensive industry experience and committed to building a passionate and diverse team that will push for game quality and experience.

As a senior generalist programmer, you will:

  • Work across multiple disciplines including on the behaviors of a large variety of NPCs in the game
  • Help to maintain and extend the existing UE5 framework and tools
  • Work with game designers to understand, propose and implement features into engine and gameplay.
  • Create code and algorithms for pathfinding, group movement, cooperation and tactical strategy.
  • Work on decision trees, design and implementing AI behaviors
  • Testing, debugging, profiling, optimizing and documenting your work
  • Actively participate in code reviews, and be a good mentor for your peers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the software, preferably games development
  • Shipped at least one title
  • Expert in C++ and strong foundation in object oriented programming
  • Good understanding of AI architecture and techniques in AAA games
  • Experience in performance measurement and optimization is beneficial
  • Experience in 3Cs, navigation, or gameplay animation programming is beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong work ethic, motivated and passionate about games and technology
