As Darewise Entertainment’s Art Outsourcing Manager you would be operationally responsible for organising, managing and improving the production of all Art created through external partners.
With the flexibility to work on site in our beautiful Paris headquarters when you need to so you’re not in the office all the time, or fully remote anywhere in Europe, you could be part of the journey working on Life Beyond, an exciting new MMO which tells its story with a breathtaking, distinctive visual style of exceptional quality.

This position is either full-time on-site in Paris - or you can work remotely from your home anywhere in Europe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You’ll build and own the technical relationship with our valued external partners, monitoring their work to ensure quality, ensuring our realistic deadlines are met or that plans are in place to reduce/remove blockers, as well as delivering constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • You’ll need to check every 3D model sent through by the outsourcing team to ensure it meets our high standards, it means sometimes you’ll be spotting major variations from the concept on the blockout and High Poly stages, then ensuring models fit with Art Direction, flagging the main polys issues on the latest stage of development, and ensuring every file received is complete, using the right versions of the software, and making sure they fulfil all pre-established pipeline requirements
  • You’ll also gather gather all the necessary elements to redact a comprehensive set of documentations for every pipelines, ensuring outsourcing partner(s) can follow a step by step guide to deliver the expected type of assets to the team
  • You’re also going to be a champion of continuous improvement, looking for ways we can improve how we work internally and with our partners which could include workflow, communication or the partners we work with.

Preferred experience

  • Proven 3D Art experience in the Games Industry in a senior/lead capacity for an Art Team
  • Proactive approach to working, taking the initiative and able to work independently
  • Strong team player
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure
  • High level of proficiency with: 3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Marmoset Toolbag, Office/Google Suite etc.
  • Strong communication style, always respectful and able to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Positive, collaborative and professional attitude while working under multiple deadlines.
  • Communication skills, comfortable working with non-technical people and remote teams.
  • Excellent time-management, and organizational skills.

Recruitment process
