Position Title: Senior Analyst

External Description:

Asia Studios’ Partnered Development Group is a relatively new team that is managing IP-licensed dev and outsourced dev with several different development partners across Asia, using EA’s IP to build and launch mobile games created in Asia, but made for the entire world. The analyst will work closely with the product managers in the game team to help monitor, report and communicate game performance and player behavior, and provide the actionable insights to drive the business decisions


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design telemetry logs to track in-game behaviors based on the game design and the request of stakeholders.
  • Analyze daily performance data, including sales and in-game telemetry, to identify opportunities and challenges, then create strategies and tactics to drive results.
  • Creation and maintenance of static and interactive dashboards, reports and ad-hoc queries. 
  • Perform regular deep dives to investigate player segments, behaviors, and spending habits.      
  • Evaluate the impact/success of game events, content updates and marketing campaigns. 
  • Communicate results of analysis with recommendations and impact to the stakeholders.
  • Design A/B tests, analyze the test results and present the findings.

Experience Background

  • A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field at a minimum; a master’s degree in one of these fields is a significant plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytics role using data to help guide decisions, preferably in a consumer products-oriented industry. (gaming preferred)
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin required. Japanese a plus.
  • Excellent SQL querying skills and experience working with distributed data stores (Hadoop, Redshift etc.) is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with use of data visualization applications (e.g. Tableau, R Shiny).
  • Proficiency analyzing large datasets in both a spreadsheet program (e.g. Excel, Sheets) and in a programmatic analysis tool (e.g. Python, R).
  • Experience of modeling, A/B testing, multivariate testing and statistics is desirable.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a small team and effectively communicate across teams in different regions.
  • Passion for games or sports.
