This new team member will oversee development execution for our base game track, including feature development and release management, and lead the team of producers and managers to support games. This is a critical leadership role that involves frequent interaction with studio leadership as well as individual contributors. This person is an empathetic people manager and a project management expert of the studio, focusing on execution, strategic outcomes, mitigating issues, and tuning production pipelines.

Team:

Scopely is on a never-ending mission to create unforgettable games across multiple platforms. As part of Scopely’s family, our Boundless Entertainment studio was built by passionate game makers dedicated to crafting playful, smart, and addictively fun experiences. We care about accessibility, depth, innovation, and production values… but most of all we care about our community of players. We don't just make games, we play and love them too, making player empathy a core value for all of us.

If you're thinking about joining our close-knit team, you should love games, be world-class at making them, and understand fundamentally that great business results come from great games and loyal players. At our LA-based studio, you'll be working with some of the best developers in the world from hit games and franchises including Command & Conquer, Battle for Middle-earth, Empires and Allies, and Diablo.

  • Oversee our review process for each discipline (design specs, UI screens, art assets, features, etc).
  • Collaborate with EP/Sr. DD and project leadership on headcount/staffing needs to ensure meeting budget and project goals.
  • Coordinate with supporting organizations including Growth, Certs, QA, Recruiting, IT, and Legal.

Leadership & People Management:

  • Strengthen the Producer discipline for the studio through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Directly manage Base Game track producers and associate producers. Set goals, drive day-to-day tasking, and manage career growth.
  • Guiding the production team and discipline leads on creating and implementing project plans.
  • Ensure the team has the best organizational processes and practices that allow them to produce high-quality work, on time and within budget.

What you will need:

  • 10 years of game production experience in an internal development role.
  • 6 years of operations, people management, and leadership experience.
  • 2 free-to-play titles developed, launched, and/or live-operated.
  • Experience leading teams with annual revenue targets of $50MM+.
