At Scopely, our Casual studio in Barcelona is looking to hire a junior Qa Lead to join the Dice team. We are looking for someone who is a master of communication, bug finding wizard, and test case management specialist – able to both help coordinate a legion of testers with delegated tasks as well as roll up your sleeves to take on the solo mission of assisting our cross-functional teams as an autonomous, expert QA specialist

The QA Lead is a critical function within the QA and Deployment team. Reporting directly to the Deployment Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Production, Product Management, External QA, Localization, and Engineering teams to ensure best in class test coverage for Scopely projects.

What you will do:

• Coordinate and manage a remote team of testers split between multiple shifts
• Manage resource needs based on the scope of upcoming releases
• Respond to one-off testing queries, acting as a liaison and communicator for our external QA testing team for these specific requests
• Act as subject matter expert for both product specific and Scopely-wide admin tools and configurations
• Assist in maintaining test and development environments by managing environment specific configurations and settings
• Work closely with our engineering team for ad hoc testing requests, demonstrating advanced techniques for testing and regression of product
• Generate daily status reports for the Internal QA team, communicating status of testing and escalating risks and blockers to key stakeholders on behalf of the Internal QA team
• Assist in the generation and maintenance of functional test suites
• Manage daily bug triages with confidence in prioritizing bugs and surfacing critical issues logged by QA
• Instill QA best testing practices across both internal and external teams, increasing quality level of issue reporting through advanced reporting techniques including crash logs, server logs, video, and screen capture
• Leverage Dashboards to monitor issue status’ throughout the testing lifecycle
• Assist the Senior Deployment Project Manager in preparing submission assets for app review
• Assist with localization and Loc QA testing requests to our 3rd party Loc team

What do you need:

• Proven prior experience managing quality on mobile software projects
• Ability to comfortably juggle and re-prioritize multiple tasks on the fly
• Advanced level knowledge using JIRA - especially with regards to dashboard management and database querying using JQL
• Proven ability to own, build and iterate functions and processes
• Willingness to work odd hours and be on-call when necessary
• Experience working in a development environment and managing relationships with both internal and external cross functional teams
• Experience building functional test plans
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally
• Proactively identify risks, changes needed and execute solutions, with appropriate sense of urgency
• Passion for mobile games and experience working on games as a live service
• Exceptional attention to detail

• Experience overseeing quality on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Google Play and iTunes Connect Consoles
• Experience using various QA tools (Test Rail, Charles Proxy, XCode, etc...)
• Experience working with automation framework
