The Vice President of Growth is a consumer-focused business leader who leads a portfolio of teams supporting Scopely games in the Strategy, RPG and Action genres. Reporting directly to the SVP of Growth & Marketing, the Vice President of Growth and their teams are dedicated to expanding and engaging the audience of dedicated players of our Core game franchises; including market leading Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force and WWE Champions. The Vice President of Growth is also a critical and expansive thinker who champions the development and testing of new strategies to expand our games audiences and build new long term competencies in player activation, engagement and loyalty.


Thinking and acting across the full consumer funnel -- from awareness, conversion, engagement and retention -- the Vice President of Growth unifies a range of consumer disciplines into a holistic strategy. As a critical member of the Scopely Publishing team, the Vice President of Growth builds a collaborative and energized culture with an exceptional team of Heads of Growth and their respective teams across Product Management, Brand, Community and Player Experience. The Vice President of Growth also develops strong working relationships and alignment with the game Division Presidents and General Managers on their audience and business goals and the resources needed to execute the strategies to reach them.


The role requires leadership focused on delivering results with a consumer-orientation, and an analytical drive to assess and deliver on KPIs. The Vice President of Growth has a bias to experiment and evolve -- refine acquisition channels, identify new market segments, and optimize the player conversion / engagement touch points.


What you will do:


  • Lead a team of experienced Director-level Heads of Growth on our critical Core games portfolio.
  • Think strategically and excel at ideating and pitching new growth strategies that stretch beyond our current standard tactics.
  • Act holistically on how to most effectively drive active player scale and loyalty in collaboration with Product and Publishing
  • Own the development and tracking of the audience growth strategies for your game franchises including planning, costing, ROI analysis of all audience growth initiatives; work with your GM and Exec team for sign off and keeping them involved in the progression and delivery of the strategy
  • Engage, consult, and collaborate with senior stakeholders within your game teams / studios to ensure that audience growth is paramount in product roadmap and live ops decisions
  • Deliver initiatives across the full funnel (Marketing, UA, CRM, Sentiment, Retention, Reactivation)
  • Work collaboratively with User Acquisition, Creative,Partnerships, Consumer Research, and ASO to support business goals
  • Manage / actively engage with your games player experience teams (Community, CS, VIPs) in a way that understands the needs of our players and leads to maximum positive sentiment both inside of the game and across online channels
  • Partner with the Sr. Directors of User Acquisition to support performance acquisition strategies while searching for new media opportunities that can expand our audience
  • Collaborate with the IP holder and external partners to maximize promotion, distribution footprint of the game across international geographies and alternative channels


What You Will Need:

  • Experience in mobile and digital growth strategies, with a proven track record of success in challenging markets
  • 10+ years of experience in entertainment, brands or live services targeting Men 18-45, including gaming, digital entertainment, sports, or services
  • Highly strategic, analytical and inquisitive nature
  • Demonstrable experience of team building and collaborative leadership in mid to large organizations.
  • Interest in / passion for gaming
